CSS / HTML Web Developer

Imagemakers is an award-winning graphic design and web development agency (view recent work here) that develops communication and marketing projects that deliver results for our customers.  Projects include marketing and planning, web site development, SEO, video post-production, e-commerce, print materials, logo development, PR, and more.  We are hiring because of the growing demand for our services.

This position is full time, permanent.
Starting pay: $12 - $18 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop & Produce:
• Work with designers and the creative director to build websites using HTML and CSS - based on specifications and designs supplied in Photoshop
• Optimize sites for search engines and accessibility
• Work with .NET and Javascript developers
• Update existing customer websites
• Make sure projects are delivered on time
• Keep up to date with web development and online communication trends, and evaluate new technology
• Planning
• Track results of web sites and other completed projects. Make recommendations for improvement
• Technical Support
• Provide technical support to customers updating their own sites
• Assist with web hosting and email administration, troubleshooting and technical support
• This job will be customized to meet the experience, ability and traits of the individual hired for this unique position
• Must work at our offices in Wamego, Kansas

Must have working knowledge of the following:

• HTML
• CSS
• Adobe Photoshop

Working Conditions:

Imagemakers is a small company, allowing team members to have a big impact – to really make a difference.  Hours are flexible, with most occurring between 9am and 6pm.  You will work closely with designers, developers, the project manager and creative director, clients and vendors.  You will work with a wide range of industries: from tourism and entertainment, to healthcare, manufacturing, retail and even waste disposal.  The environment is never boring with a lot of group interaction, big picture thinking, and many, many different types of projects.  Our offices are located in a recently renovated late-1800s building in downtown Wamego.

We are a small company and all perform many jobs.  Other activities may include:

• Technical
• Manage domain and DNS services
• Create Macromedia Flash animations, and applications
• Web video compression and delivery
• Help maintain the Imagemakers file archive
• Other IT help around the office
• Planning
• Understand the project cycle and take ideas from concept through production and results tracking
• Assist with the planning of websites and development of website specifications
• Help develop and plan content
• Contribute to idea sessions with designers, developers and content developers
• Lead, guide, develop projects
• Assist with estimating new projects
• Online Marketing and Communication
• Manage Online Pay Per Click Keywords
• Help define and enforce standards to ensure consistent communication and branding for customers
• Help manage vendor and freelance relationships to assure quality of deliverables, timeliness of deliveries
• Depending on skills and talents, this job may include more programming, design, technical/server admin, 3D, or video work
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
