PEP SQUAD - THE MOTION PICTURE

Situation: Kansas filmmaker Steve Balderson wrote, directed and produced his first film in 1998. PEP SQUAD was featured in 7 film festivals, including Stockholm International, Seattle International, was nominated for Best Film in 3 festivals and won awards for Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress in the Killer B Film Festival in New York.

Needs: Production company needed assistance in marketing the film to potential distributors in a cost effective way, as well as create general market awareness as a way of driving demand from the public.

Solution: A comprehensive web site was developed which included reviews, excerpts from the score (in downloadable MP3 format), synopsis and a significant number of photographs. (PEP SQUAD is now being distributed by The Global Asylum, a small boutique distribution company in Los Angeles. Distribution deals have included an exclusive arrangement with Hollywood Video (the second largest U.S. chain), a theatrical release in Indonesia, a satellite deal in France, a pending video release in the United Kingdom as well as 2 DVD deals.)
